The grey coaster is particularly clever as unless one takes a second glance it masquerades perfectly as the trompe l'oeil shadow it's supposed to be. Very clever!

After much deliberation I chose this item from the stand on the quay side at Newcastle. I love its shape and colour (bright pink) and it goes will with my green spotty tea cup!

After much deliberation I finally settled on the grey coloured coaster and I couldn't have made a better choice! I tend to almost colour code certain areas of my living space so I am thrilled to find it fitting in so well with the desk space and one of my favourite mugs. Had a little play around with the desk lamp to try and emulate the shadow but it's not quite right, perhaps one day I might stumble upon the right lighting conditions, until then, I will no doubt enjoy many a cup of tea on this spot.
