This is such a lovely idea! My mother passed this on to me and I have used this lovely beaker as a flower posy holder over xmas, sadly I don't have a picture to post but wish you all a healthy and happy new year!

This little vessel was charming. In the winter I would love to hold and drink from it and when the weather warms up I would keep little spring flowers in it.

I cut a red rose from the garden, which was surviving despite the cold temperatures, and put it in the vase with a few trailing fronds of honeysuckle. They sat on my desk and smiled at me for a few days reminding me of the summer gone and hopefully next year's to look forward to. When they had wilted, I replaced them with my two calligraphy pens with the hope that I may be able to learn more about this Art next year. I hope the vase enjoys its next adventure!

I was given this beautiful, colourful beaker by my neighbour, and pondered what to do with it. I used it as a vase for some late flowering yellow roses that I cut from my rose tree, and I held it and wished! I wished for love, happiness, health, and peace for myself and others. Primarily I wished that the date that I went on recently would turn into something. I marvelled at the colours and the gold around the rim. It is a beautiful, colourful object and one that has enhanced my life and kitchen!

Last Sunday I took the beaker to a birthday lunch for a girlfriend. We all brought a dish with us - I made beetroot soup and we used the beaker as a shot glass, filled it with vodka and tipped it generously into the soup. Delicious!

Now its sitting on my kitchen table filled with late garden flowers and I don't want to hand in on as it looks delightful. But at the weekend it will be passed on..................

I've grown quite fond of the cup. It's perfect for my morning coffee... a double espresso goes right up to rim. I think the caffeine and the zingy colours help me shake off the slumbers. My girlfriend says it makes me look like a hippy.
